The Annual New Years party with owners, guests and their families saw nearly 50 participate in games and Bingo and celebrate the arrival of the New Year December 31st, 2011  and January 1, 2012 in the unusually festive Recreation room.  Pictured below: on the top are owners, the Beckers, who have made the New Years party a tradition. below are Barbara and Robert Harrison, long time owners and the “Founders” of the party many years ago.  The picture ontop shows the concentration required to mark bingo cards and simultaneously figure out your “name game” tag… It was a swell evening …and early morning.

REMINDER TO INTERESTED OWNERS! The terms for three ( 3 ) Board members will expire and new Board members elcted or appointed at the 2012 Annual Meeting this coming March 3, 2012.  Interested owners in good standing should send a letter of interest and a brief resume to: Rockaway Beach Resort, 615 North Pacific, Rockaway Beach  OR 97136  Attn. Don Borjesson, chairperson, Nominating Committee.  Your letter of interest is needed prior to the Board meeting which will be held on December 3, 2011 @ the Portland Airport Shilo.

Please refer to the announcement regarding shares for sale to owners by the Board.  The foreclosed shares  have a 180 day WAITING  period of time where the original owner can still recover their share by remitting the dues ,fees and interest owed.  That period of time has now passed, and these shares are now available.  Several owners have asked about these.  Now is the time to purchase..  See the details in the original  NOTICE OF SALE TO OWNERS BELOW and contact the office.   OFFICE HOURS, 9:00 AM TO 9:00 PM DAILY. 800 824 1611.  

Western Regional RCI executive Bobby Coates dropped by RBR on Monday October 17 to personally congratulate General mnaager Don and his staff about the award. ” Your crew here has always been known as  friendly, helpful and informative. In addition, your comment scores have  shown how RCI guests recognize the upgrades, general improvements and appearance you all have  made over the last several years..Congratulations”.  It isn’t an easy thing for older smaller Resorts to achieve this.  G,M  Don said” The Board ,owners  and entire staff should be proud of  this new designation award.”

Owners  in good standing @ RBR are reminded that any owner interested in becoming a candidate for the Board of Directors needs to send a brief “resume” and a letter of interest to the resort no later than November 15th of 2011.  Contact the General Manager, Don Osborne, or Board member in charge of the Nomiating Committee, Don Borjesson,  if you have any questions.
